What is an OKR Custom Dashboard?
Oboard's Custom Dashboards have been completely redesigned to offer a modular, flexible, and powerful reporting experience.
You can now build personalized dashboards with distinct modules, allowing you to combine different types of information – from OKR progress to KPI trends and contextual notes – into a single, comprehensive view.
This transforms the dashboard from a static report into a dynamic, customizable performance hub.
Understanding Modules
The new Custom Dashboard is built using various module types, each serving a specific reporting purpose:
OKR Module: This module represents the same functionality that existed in the previous report view, allowing you to display and track your Objectives and their associated Metrics.
New additions include the ability to bulk add OKRs directly from the report or from the Alignment view, streamlining the dashboard creation process. You can also now add Key Results or any other Metric separately from their Objective to the report.
The OKR module will show you several different stats:
Average progress based on all linked to this dashboard objectives
Overall objective progress
Objective progress in the last 7 days
The same information can also be viewed on a customizable graph.
KPI Module (NEW): Specifically crafted to show how your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or any other Metric measured by a Threshold progresses over time.
Adjustable Views: You can adjust the view of the KPI module to be based on Weeks, Months, or Quarters, providing flexibility in analyzing trends.
Intelligent Aggregation: If the module's selected view period (e.g., monthly) is larger or smaller than the period assigned to your KPIs (e.g., weekly), the view will automatically adjust and aggregate progress. This aggregation is based on a calculation method you set: Most recent value, Average of all periods, or Minimum of all periods. This ensures accurate representation regardless of time granularity.
Text Module (NEW): This versatile module allows you to add rich text content directly to your dashboard. Use it to provide highlights, summarize the latest updates, add important contextual information, or include any other narrative you wish to accompany your data. This module enhances communication and storytelling by allowing users to add qualitative insights directly alongside quantitative data.
Building Your Custom Dashboard
To create a custom dashboard, please:
Open the plugin
Click on "Dashboard”
Select "Custom Dashboard"
Click on "Create dashboard"
Click "Add Module" and select the desired module type (OKR, KPI, or Text). Configure each module:
For OKR Modules, select the Objectives and Metrics you wish to display.
For KPI Modules, choose the Threshold-based Metrics or KPIs you want to track and set the desired time view (Weeks, Months, Quarters).
For Text Modules, enter your desired text content.
Give each module a custom name for clarity.
Arrange your modules by dragging and dropping them to create your ideal layout.
Export
You can export your Custom Dashboard in PDF format.
To export your report:
1. Click the “…” menu in the top right corner.
2. Export as PDF
Share & Favorites
Share your report with your team!
You can either make it public and accessible for everyone or share it only with specific people.
You can also add Dashboards to Favorites.
Liked Dashboards will appear on the left side Menu under the “Dashboards” tab.
