Grading your OKRs
When a grade is changed
Objective
Grade for objective can be only changed when you either change a contributing child KR/Metric or a grade for contributing child objective or linked Jira issue is changed.
Key Result or Metric
You can change a grade for key result unless you have linked contributing Jira issue to this KR.
Linked Jira Issue
Plugin update this grade automatically when respective Issue in Jira gets any status with category “Done“ – the green one.
How to change a grade for KR/Metric
You can change it in the grid
Or on the KR/Metric form
Colors of grades
We have 3 colours for grade: green, amber, and red.
0-40% -- At risk
40 to 70% -- Behind
70%+ -- On track
E.g. you have 100 days in a cycle. And today is 40th day. So 40th day is 40% of the cycle.
So if on the 40th day you have 15% (15/40=0.375=37%) which is under 40 -- at risk
if 50% (50/40=1.25=125%) which Is over 70 -- on track
if 20 (20/40=0.5= 50%) which is over 40 but under 70 -- behind
Threshold grading
Threshold Metrics can also be included in your Component hierarchy and contribute to an Objective's overall Grade. The calculation of the Grade for a Threshold Metric is flexible and depends on the specific method you choose during its setup.
Most recent value: The grade is based solely on the most recently updated value
Average of all periods: The grade is an average of the performance across all defined periods
Minimum of all periods (depending on condition): This method ensures the grade accurately reflects performance relative to the most critical point.
For "Above" or "Above/Equal" conditions, this typically means the lowest value achieved across periods
For "Below" or "Below/Equal" conditions, it might mean the highest value achieved across periods.
Understanding Progress Updates and History
Updating Progress in the Past: You can now easily input historical data for your progress updates by selecting a past date in the calendar within the "Progress update" section. This ensures that your progress graphs accurately reflect your journey and remain relevant, even if you are entering data retroactively.
Progress History Tab: A new "Progress history" tab has been introduced, allowing you to review all previous value updates for a given Objective or Metric. This tab also provides the ability to delete previous value updates, giving you greater control over your data and allowing for corrections if needed.
